AffirmatShun is built for Black women doing real inner work. Your privacy is not an afterthought — it is a foundation. We do not sell your data. We do not share what you write. What you put into this app stays between you and your becoming.

Account information: your name and email address when you create an account. Journal entries and intentions: what you write stays in your private account and is never shared, sold, or read by us. Mood check-ins: the mood you select each day, stored to power your mood history calendar. Affirmations you save: stored in your account so they're available across devices. Usage data: basic information about how you use the app (which features you use, how often you open it). We use this to improve the app — not to profile you. Device info: device type and operating system, for technical support purposes only.

We use the following services to operate AffirmatShun: • Supabase — secure database and authentication (supabase.com) • Anthropic — AI-powered affirmation generation (anthropic.com) • RevenueCat — subscription and payment processing (revenuecat.com) • Expo / React Native — mobile app framework • Apple / Google — app distribution and in-app purchases Each service has its own privacy policy. Your payment details are handled entirely by Apple or Google and are never stored on our servers.
Your journal entries are stored in your private account and are never reviewed, sold, or shared. They are encrypted in transit and at rest. If you delete your account, all entries are permanently deleted.
Free accounts: mood history is stored for 14 days. Thrive accounts: mood history and journal entries are stored for the life of your subscription. If you delete your account, all your data is permanently deleted within 30 days.

AffirmatShun is intended for users 17 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you in the app. Your continued use of AffirmatShun after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
